A wedding day held in the noble firs
Noble Ridge sits 2,500 feet up in the Cascades, at the edge of the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, an hour's drive from PDX. For 2027 we open two spaces. The Tree Deck holds up to 150 guests in the canopy. The River Deck holds up to 30 beside a waterfall.
We host only a handful of Tree Deck weddings each season, and each one has the whole day, from setup at nine in the morning to the last song at ten at night.

THE APPROACH
Arrival
Your guests leave their cars half a mile below the Tree Deck, and the shuttle carries them up the last stretch of road through the firs. The air is cooler at the top and smells of fir and earth. Then the trees open, and there is the deck, held up in the canopy and set for your day.
For the drive in from Portland, we recommend a coach for your guests, and we're glad to suggest companies.
UP TO 150 GUESTS
Tree Deck
Suspended among the noble firs at the edge of the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, the Tree Deck is a castle in the air. Three thousand square feet of wood and steel float in the canopy, opening onto mountain and valley views that shift from dappled morning light to a sunset that pours gold across the hills. Up to 150 guests can gather here, yet the forest holds the space so closely that even a grand celebration feels intimate. The scent of fir and earth, the hush of the breeze through the boughs, the soft glow of lights strung tree to tree at dusk. This is where you say your vows lifted above the forest floor, held in the arms of the trees, and where a dance under the stars becomes the memory your guests carry home. Our canvas, your masterpiece.

THE MORNING
Getting ready
The Tree Deck includes getting-ready spaces for both sides of the wedding party. They're two separate spaces, so the two of you can spend the morning apart and see each other first at the moment you choose, a first look on the lawn or the top of the aisle.
Both are yours from 9 am, a quiet place to spend the morning with your closest people before the ceremony. You'll see both on your tour.
AFTER SUNSET
Into the evening
Dinner catches the last of the sun. In July it sets close to nine, and by late August closer to eight. As the light goes, the strings of lights between the trees take over and the deck glows against the dark of the forest.
The dancing runs until 10 pm, when the music goes off and the evening ends. The shuttle carries your guests back down to their cars under the stars.

River Deck
Tucked deeper into the forest beside a cascading waterfall and clear mountain stream, the River Deck is our most intimate ceremony space. A handcrafted log cabin, built from fourteen-inch timbers, sits at the water's edge, and the deck opens over the stream so the sound of falling water becomes the music of your vows. This is a sanctuary for up to thirty guests, made for the couple who wants only the people who matter most, gathered close, with the forest wrapping the moment in privacy. The light is soft, the air is cool with mist from the falls, and everything unfolds at the pace of the water. Nothing about it is loud. Everything about it is felt. For an elopement or a small ceremony, the River Deck is where you slow down and simply be present with each other.

YOUR DAY, PREPARED
What's waiting for you, and what you bring
The Tree Deck is ready to set the morning you arrive. The tables and chairs are already here, and the lights are strung through the trees. Three cedar restrooms and three quiet generators, fuel included, are ready for the day. Your caterer works from a space near the deck, and the covered log patio gives your guests shade, or shelter from a passing shower. Drinking water for your guests comes from us. The water at the spigots is well water, for the restrooms only.
You bring the people who feed your guests and pour their drinks. Your licensed caterer brings their own water for cooking and prep. We don't sell or serve alcohol, so your bar runs under your caterer's liquor license or a Washington State banquet permit for your private party. Anything beyond our tables and chairs comes from your rental company, which can deliver the day before and collect the day after, arranged with your coordinator. You'll also carry event liability insurance for the day.
Candles are welcome in glass holders, set back from the aisle. Sparklers and pyrotechnics aren't allowed at Noble Ridge weddings, and a fire pit depends on that week's county burn ban. Your coordinator confirms the fire rules with you the Monday of your wedding week.
Your vendors park below with your guests, and the six spaces at the top are held at your coordinator's discretion. Both decks and their getting-ready spaces are day use, on your wedding day only. Cell service comes and goes up here, so plan on a day mostly off your phone.
Noble Ridge is a permitted event facility in Skamania County, Washington. Every event stays inside the spaces and guest counts the county approved.

BELLS, BOWS & VOWS
Coordination Requirement
Noble Ridge is forest land with no staff on site. On your wedding day there is no one here to open the gate, walk your vendors in, run the generators, or make the call if the weather or fire conditions shift. So every booking requires a coordinator on site from Bells, Bows & Vows, the venue's coordination partner. Your coordinator runs the property so you don't have to.
If you want more off your plate, wedding planning is available through Bells, Bows & Vows as well, from month-of support to full planning. Your booking includes a complimentary consultation to map out what your day needs and which level of help fits.
If you have a wedding planner already, we welcome that as well. Your planner runs your wedding, and the Bells, Bows & Vows team runs the property right alongside them.
